Spark plug question

I run a bridgeport 13b on a 1st gen and my friend tells me to run all four spark plugs trailing even on the leading side has any one heard of this is it safe to run it like this any feed back is appreciated

so they are telling you all 4 should be fired off the Trailing Side of the dizzy? Man, that sounds like a recipe for grenading your rotormotor. Don't know what folks here will say but it would be worth dropping a dime and talk to the engine pros at either Pineappleracing, mazdatrix, Aitkins or racing beat to be sure...

Sounds like a bad idea to me.

is that even possible? there's only 2 trailing spots, do they mean switch the leading coil for a trailing coil? lol. anyways even if it's possible i'm gonna go ahead and say no. don't do it. rotaries only need leading to run. the reason they have trailing was just to make sure everything was burnt off so that you could pass inspection.

More info is needed. If he is talking about using FC plugs, they have different heat range between trailing and leading. He may be asking about running FC 'trailing' heat range plugs in all positions.

If he is saying to fire T1 and L1 together (using trailing signal) and the same for T2/L2, you will end up running 0 split (not really a bad thing), but your timing will be extremely retarded (assuming you don't readjust..which would defeat whatever purpose you had in timing off trailing in the 1st place).

I assume that he is talking about FC trailing heat range plugs, but we need to confirm.

actually he is saying to run all four plugs trailing even on the leading side the reason he says is because my motor has alot of timing like 25degrees so running all trailing is better to keep it cool because trailing plugs are colder than leading

so just run cold plugs is basically what he said?...i'm having trouble understanding "run trailing even on leading"

yes

Just buy some 115's from mazdacomp if you run the crap out of the thing.
