I'm going to give some second gen plugs a try.

Jeff20B 08-31-04 11:52 PM

I picked up some exhaust parts yesterday so I can start fabbing a system for my rebuilt streetported R5 13B with 2nd gen plugs in leading (with DLIDFIS) and 1st gen plugs in trailing. It'll be on the road pretty soon. The 2nd gen plugs are old but in good enough shape to use untill I can buy some new ones.

I don't think I'll know how they'll run untill the engine is broken in, but test running/driving it showed an improvement over the BR8EQ-14s it had that were misfiring (it hardly went around the block untill I changed 'em). The engine has 6 miles on it thus far from when it was briefly in my GLC. Now it's in my REPU and only needs a fuel pump, exhaust system, and a set of tires. :)

Mireck 12A, what is your definition of "non" stock? What is DFLISDIS? Some sort of variation of DLIDFIS? Do tell. :)

Thanks for the pic Jeff.I must agree with you.The gap is quite small.

SOrry my mistake, I meant DLIDFIS, the "Jeff20B" way :D

Well, as for "non" stock....everything that's not stock anymore... , airpump removed, ported ect...

Jeff20B 09-01-04 02:39 PM

Since DLIDFIS in itself is no longer stock, well, you know. :) Anyway, I'll keep the old BUR7EQ plugs in my engine untill it's broken in. Then I'll make a decision about which plugs to use. I have a feeling I'll either keep on using them or I'll get a set of new ones. I somehow doubt I'll ever use B9EGVs. I don't see a reason to when the 2nd gen plugs have so much going for them.

B9EGV's have been working great for me. $6.00 ea.

i personally just recently ran the br8eix in the leading and liked it. Then put my old bur7eq's back in and what a difference!!! the BUR&EQ was such a better plug. And byt the way i run the MSD-DIS ignition.

Jeff20B 01-13-05 06:46 PM

I recently picked up four BUR7EQs for two engines with DLIDFIS. :) $5.00 each, three of which were free with a gift certificate.

Jaime Enriquez 01-13-05 09:16 PM

Can I get in on that that Infinity hookup?
