OnlyOnThurs 03-17-05 10:19 AM

J.B. Catalyst works MUCH better than WD-40

After that just put the torch to them...:)

Bob Holton 03-17-05 10:45 AM

Torch, and learn to swear in japanese

bliffle 03-17-05 12:02 PM

If you can get a socket on it (probably not) you can try an impact wrench. Nowadays you can get a cordless electric impact wrench for about $60 at cheapo auto stores. But try solvents first and then a little propane or MAPP torch.

red13brx7 03-17-05 03:33 PM

I have the mazdatrix replacement. IT is a very nice unit, saved me some headaches in my 85 gsl.

OnlyOnThurs 03-17-05 03:33 PM

really??? How much do you think shipping will be??? what year is it off of??? real quick do you know or does any one else know if a drive shaft from an 83 will fit onto an 82 (my FB)???

OnlyOnThurs 03-17-05 03:52 PM

bump about the 83 drive shaft fitting on to an 82???

OnlyOnThurs 03-17-05 04:51 PM

Bump.......................

mcnannay 03-17-05 05:54 PM

different size flange on the rear end

so that means you would have to change out the flange on your rear end to match the 83 driveshaft, i did this all about 3 months ago

how did you damage the driveshaft exactly?

OnlyOnThurs 03-17-05 06:07 PM

long story that involved me, a hammer, too many damn hours, and brand new broken u-joints .......i don't fee like doin that crap again so im just getting another driveshaft...

mcnannay 03-17-05 06:10 PM

where did you get the u-joints? Most auto stores have at least a short warranty on the u-joints, if not how much are you really paying for em?? $12?? Id rather pay that than 250 for a new driveshaft that isn't really needed. I don't know, maybe thats just me...(cheap :) )

Tech_Greek 03-17-05 07:06 PM

Mazdatrix Driveshaft, best money ever spent; replaceable u-joints!
