Some DLIDFIS troubles

I installed DLIDFIS a couple of months ago and it has been running pretty good so far untill now. One of the leading coils and the trailing coil are jumping fire from the spark plug wire post to the positive and negative posts on the coil and also the spark plug wires themselves are jumping fire to various metal things that are close by. So my question is Have I not grounded the system good enough or are the coils going bad? Thanks

You didn't mention the AGE of your plug wires. Or maybe they're new but of poor quality.

Either what he said, or poor grounding of the engine...

Sounds like you have two problems, potentially.

1) Cracked coil. This has happened to me a couple of times. When the plastic around the main terminal cracks, the coil arcs from the main to either post, depending on where the crack is.

2) Bad wires. If your spark plug wires are sparking I'd think they have bad insualtion and should be replaced.

It doesn't hurt to check your grounds too, of course.

The spark plug wires are NGK and about a year old. I have had this problem before on just the leading coil and it just eventually quit working. Can you use Ohms to find the resistance of a ground? Thanks for the help, some of the ignition needs to be replaced anyway!
