Shifting in the cold

searched, didnt find much related.

when it is cold, it gets much harder to shift between gears, especially downshifting. It seems to get better as the car warms up.
any ideas?

Thanks,
Kevin

Try synthetic gear lube, Amsoil, Redline, Neo and such. A little notchyness when cold is normal.

for an experiment, go buy a small amount of 75w90 dino lube, put it in the freezer in an open cup, pull it out in an hour and attempt to pour it over your little siblings head.

then go buy synthetic 75w90 and feed your tranny. i replaced the motor in roxy earlier and we did the gear oil for the hell of it.. used dino to save money.. worst mistak i ever made.. you can stall the car on a cold cold day by letting out the clutch in neutral.
