"Sex on wheels" my 84'GS build ....

So, I owned a 79' and an 81' 10 years ago. It was love at first drive! A disastrous relationship cost me both and I've been dreaming of getting another ever since. I lucked into a deal on Craigslist in Feb. and picked up an 84'GS and an 83' donor car. Both non-running for $250.00! I've never acyually worked on a rotary till now. Had my work done at Atkins when I had my other 2. I've been reading, researching, and planning since Feb. Now the real work begins. At this point all I've done is pull the emissions off both motors, pulled the motors (84' was toasted and 83 needs a rebuild) and bought a 12a from an 83 from a forum member. (Thanks Joe!) Here's some pics of what I started with and where I am now. I will update pics and work as I go. Any comments, suggestions are welcome. (especially if you see I'm screwing up! LOL) Without further adew.... "Sex on wheels" my 84' project.

Ok, so motor is back in, and I'm de-looming now. I have gained respect for all you that have attempted this as it is a THOROUGH PAIN IN THE ASS! Hopefully worth it though. Meanwhile parts are coming in, and I'm trying to painy what I'm reusing and some of the new stuff too. I figure it may as well look good too right?! Heres what I got so far.....

Looking good. While you're making all the new parts pretty, I hope you addressed the rust in the engine bay. A little sanding/grinding, POR-15 or epoxy paint, then a coat of truck bed liner will go a long way in preserving the chassis.
