seeking 12A fuel mix knowledge
I have Way Too Many questions. I've decided to just start with a couple of Simple? ones.
1. I have a Holley-4. Smooth's a Cali car (atomatic) 1980...THE QUESTION IS: If the cap that is supposed to stop the owner from monkeying around with the fuel adjustment was broken open by the PO... and it is misshapen to the point of making the screw a little stiffer to adjust than desirable... and the adjustment screw is spring loaded... Might the constraint of the adjustment screw be a possible problem? Does that screw respond to vacuum? 2. Is the Altitude sensor/adjustment feature absolute or relative in it's function? if I live at almost 7,000ft. elevation, do I need to go to a lower altitude to tune my carb. to get the benefit of the adjustment? |
holley regulator: loosen the big nut first then unscrew or screw-in the adjustment screw to find the pressure suited for your carb

Thanks Siraniko... I have a drawing and will make sense of your comment over the weekend.
ALSO... HAC valve... is it dependent on the air pump I recently removed? The more I read about SOME functions the air pump has, the more I am considering the possibility of replacing it and weeding through ratsnest functions and being selective about disabling CERTAIN features. |
