Seasonal Air Conditioning?

So I was thinking about collecting the parts and pieces to install the A/C in my car again just for the summer since its being abnormally hot here and then taking it out again later. Im just wondering what all is involved in this? I didnt take it all out, so I dont know what all needs to go back? Is it worth the work, or should I just continue to deal with my car the way it is? EVERYTHING is removed under the hood and inside. The only trace the car ever had AC is the button on the dash. My uncle has the refrigerant and all the recovery/charging/testing equipment so thats not a problem (he used to own a heating and AC company :)), Im just worried about the actual mechanical parts...

You know whats involved, what came out, goes back in.
The question you should be asking yourself is , ???
do you have all the components still ?? get everything
together you have. then you'll know what you need to get. right ?? next time, before just ripping shit out, take the time to think it through. ( no tunnel vision ) Are you an A/C person TJ ???? I know when it's hot and i want to be cool while driving, i just roll up the windows, close the roof, crank the A/C !! Look over at other people burning up in there cars. thats when i'm glad i keep my A/C charged during all seasons. you want A/C ?? Get it.

If you removed everything from behind the dash as well, then forget about it. I never see the logic in removing something as functional as Air-conditioning, unless the car is a full blown race car.

Ok, well you all missed the part where I said I didnt take it out, I got the car and it was mostly gone with the exception of the radiator looking thing up front and a couple misc. lines under the hood. The car didnt even have an engine let alone the rest of the AC pieces :).

Surprisingly enough, rolling the windows down doesnt work as well as I would like, and my girlfriend doesnt like the window on her side down anyway.

So, NO, I dont have all the pieces, I would have to find them used.

Im getting the impression that this isnt worth it? :)

It's a pain man, when I took the AC out of my car I tried to take it out in solid pecies.... That didn't last to long things would break and bend when you went to un-do lines and what not. So I just started cutting lines out ect. If you really want the AC then I say go for it put that parts in man. But as far as it being removable like the sunroof is lol, I see no point to that.

It is a pain... I have a busted hose and just looking at how I will replace the hose (and if i replace one hose, I might as well replace them all) is a complicated mess. Plus I don't have the tools to charge, test, etc, etc (I'll have to talk to a friend that is a mechanic). Looks like I'll have to wait till I get A LOT of free time...

Ok, well, I just thought I would run the idea past the people who would know :).
