Well about a week ago it was all warm and nice outside. I got home from school, and adjusted my idle and got it to sit nicely at 900 rpm. I adjusted the TPS to so its all good. Well now its cold. When its cold i start it, and it completely skips the cold startup procedure, instead it revs to like 1500 rpm and idls down to about 400, then up to 700 and sits at 700. While its doing this, its burning blueish white oil smoke. Itl burn this oil smoke until the thing is in the designated heat range. But why wont it idle whe nits cold, and why does it just skip the cold startup procedure?

I'm sure this topic has been discussed numberous times, my SE used to do the same thing, it didn't bother me and i really didn't care.

mine stalls when i push in the clutch once i start moving, so i gotta have 3 feet to drive it, or do alot of shifting, thats why it bothers me

What do you mean when you push the clutch when you start moving?

Once i start my car adn let it warm up for like 3 mins, its still not in the temp range, but i just keep it in first or second below 3000 rpm. Well my roads have alot of stops, and turns so i have to push in the clutch to take them. BEcause i have to stop, or they are 90 degree turns, on shitty back roads. As soon as i push in that clutch the rpms drop to about 100, then 0 as she stalls. So i have to clutch, neutral, u nclutch, brake, gas to keep it running

Oh, i also had the same problem, have your engine vacuum tested. Take it to a local college's shop and it should be free.

Edit: By the way, my problem eventually went away on it's own.

vacuum tested...dunno what that is, will they know how to do it on a rotary or is it same as on other engines?

You may have to buy a book and look up the vacuum specs, it's the same for any car. They will disconnect a vacuum line from your engine and hook it up to a gauge, they weill test your cranking vacuum, your idle vacuum, and your cruising vacuum. If you want a simple method to cure this, adjust your throttle cable so it's slightly open at idle. It's about the same as adjusting a brake cable on a bike.
