seafoam and rx-7s

I have been reading a lot of the old threads on ATF and MMO.
What about seafoam engine cleaner. I use this stuff on my crown vic every time I change the oil.
The directions say to get the engine up to operating temp spray/pour the seafoam into the intake while keeping the engine running. After about 30 seconds of this you just flood the engine with the seafoam.
then you let it sit for 5-10 min and then start it up and watch the smoke.

it seams to work really well for piston engines. What about a rotory

thats the stuff I used about a week before my first engine blew. stay away its cursed.

I would stay away from all fuel additives and consult a rotary mechanic before putting any 'miracle liquid shit' into my engine. :cool:

There was a long (somewhat heated) debate about this in the 2nd gen forum. I believe the general consensus is stay away. If it didn't work for one person (superslinc) than I don't think it's worth the risk. My advice, stick with the time-proven ATF. That stuff works so well.

Sea Foam = petroleum distillate
MMO= petroleum distillate
basically Sea Foam = MMO... it pays to read the bottle sometimes...

i'm a firm believer in sea foam. i use it all the time in my car since it doesn't get drivin as much as i'd like in the winter. 100,000+ miles and nothing but good results.
