SE Intake manifold

Ive done quite a bit of searching on port matching and naturally come up with more results in the 2nd gen forum. Having a GSL-SE, Im sure that the procedure is the same but are there any specifics as to what should and should not be done? i.e. leave the primaries alone.. how about the dynamic chamber could the secondaries be enlargened more? would port matching affect emissions and idle?
I have an entire spare intake system with new gaskets on its way and plan on making this a weekend project, but learning from somebody who has already done this would be valuable.
Also does anyone have before and after dyno results from installing the Pineapple Racing 6 port sleeves. I have them in the car already but maybe they just smoothen out the airflow so well that I dont notice any power difference. T.I.A.

Go through PeeJay's posts. Basically there is nothing to be earned by porting your intake, unless your engine is ported too.

In Layman's terms, you want there to some mismatching of the ports to prevent reversion of airflow.

Also, I have beed sadly dissapointed to read that Pineapple Racing sleeves only improve airflow a massive 1% :(

The porting that used to be a sticky in the 2nd gen forum on porting S5 manifolds only applies to S5 manifolds. You can't and wouldn't want to do the egg shaped porting on a GSL-SE manifold. Port matching is fine and all but not good for any noticable hp increase. The throttlebody and afm on the GSL-SE are impressively small and the source of you're restriction. Great for midrange power but no point shifting after 7000 rpm. I still ran a 14.8 with the stock intake manifold setup with the sleeves still working though.

Directfreak is correct on the ainti reversion principle. If you want to port match the runnes then only match the lower manifold to the gasket leaving a lip. You may still not notice an increase however.

The sleeves do only increase airflow by about 1% but don't let that discourage you from not using them. It's not Pineapple's fault. They give you a small gain up high and every little increase adds up. The real problem is due to the actuator rods creating so much turbulence in the port before the sleeves.
