Saggy roofvinyl
Alright, the other day i bought a series 2 for a daily driver/DIY fix'er upper.
One thing that really bothers me is that the vinyl roof hangs like a hammock, allmost touching the little hair that I have left :( I think the paperpulp or whatever it is, might have gotten wet sometime in the past. I can push it up but it wont stay in place ofcourse. Any ideas on how to get it to curve upwards again??? Kim - Proud owner of two first gens |
you could always take the trim around the top off and reglue it...
thats all i can think of |
well the cheap alternative is to stick a bunch of bobby pins up there, or the only real fix is to take down the headliner and re-glue everything back. when i re-did mine, i pulled down all the old fabric, took a sander to knock down all the old glue and used a spray adhesive (3M super 77) on both sides. if you use an alternative product, make sure you read what it works for, and not. I learned the hardway and was back to square one.

mine has the same thing, but mine only sags right in the front under the visors, on the front edge it hangs out from under the trim piece. headliners intemidate me so much, im scared to touch it

Ok I was not 100% correct when typing the above.
What I meant was: The paperpulp is sagging too. sorry bout' that |
