S5 TII turbo on a 12a? (blowthrough)
Has this been done before ?
Is it even worth it? :Wconfused |
i am almost done with mine rob at rotary shack has done a few dozen i am sure.
BAd83 has one tons of people have done them. is it cost effective depends how you describe cost effective! |
Worth what?
Not to be rude, but thats a lame question. If you search, youll see that MANY people have done this,as Yetterben has stated. The stock TII turbo works well on a 13B,so of course its gonna work on a 12A.In fact,of all the stock car turbos, its the easiest and most appropriate turbo to mount on a 12A or other N/A engine since its shaped right and flows right for a rotary application. As far as HP gains, thats only as good as your setup and tuning. You might gain 10hp,you might gain 100hp......or you might blow up on the first roll-on.It all depends on how well you set it up. |

Not to be rude, but thats a lame question. I dont know the power capable of a 12a turbo, it was simply a "might as well go 13b?" kind of question.. if the power gain is only like 45hp its not worth it IMO I have no way of knowing |
well there are guys running 600 hp 12a's sooooo(12a680rwhp or similar user name).........its as capable as your wallet.
|
you can make lots of power with a 12a turbo depending on your budget
and yes the stock 13b turbo's work great on the 12a motors.. i have a few good used turbos for sale if your interested |
