s4 swap question

Hi guys,

Not to long ago i bought an s4 keg from a member on this forum to put into my fc, but while i was waiting for the flywheel to come in i started rebuilding my s5 engine.

Now i'm almost finished with the rebuild and the flywheel came in for the s4. I don't plan to put the s4 into my fc when i know i will have a rebuilt engine on my hands in less then a week.

Not wanting to sell the engine either i am now thinking of putting it into either my 83 gsl or into my 84(not sure what model but think just the basic gs) that i just finished restoring couple of month ago(only interior left).

I have read that an s4 into a gsl-se is a basic swap, but in my case i'm not sure which is a better road to go.

The two simplest options i see are either putting a carb on the s4, have an extra niki carb from a 12a, or using the gsl-se intake which i don't have :(

I'm very comfortable with tuning carbs but not so good with the computer tunning(never done it before, don't even know where to begin)

I don't think i will be doing the swap this year as i just don't have that much time, and the 12a engine in the fbs are running great as well. Which means i have the time to collect the parts for the swap and unless i purchase another fc(which i doubt will happen) it will definitely be going in one of my fbs.

What I want to know is this. How well s4 does with a 12a carb, giving that there needs to be an adapter plate which would reduce the airflow.

what would i need to get to use a gsl-se intake on a gs model? wiring harnesses and stuff like that.

Are there other options i'm missing?

Anyways let me know your opinions as well, thanks :)
