S4 na swapped FB

Hey guys, I'm new to the rx7 world so I apologize in advance for any "stupid" questions.

As the title states I have a 1985 gsl with an s4 non turbo swapped in. It's running a megasquirt ms1 ecu that is running in an "acceptable" manner, meaning I have no idea if it's even tuned right, but I digress. The car idles a 10.9 afr and leans out under load, with a hesitation/flame-spit at about 1.5-2k. I know the secondary injectors are not connected, and i replaced the plugs/wires and oild (heavily contaminated with gasoline) and now, not even 300 miles later, it's due for another oil change due to....more....gas contamination. I'm very new to rx7s but I'm not ignorant on the mechanics and operation. It was running fine the day before yesterday, I put fresh premium, premixed of course (and yes to the proper proportions), and now it's running like ****. I've already checked the fuel filter, it's fine, with fresh gas flowing normally out the other side, and I dont know what else could be making it run the way it is now, with no change to how it was before. Has anyone had a similar experience, or have any pointers for where to start?

looks like a s5 engine. I am assuming you bought it like this. If you are new to to NA rx7s, especially the S5 intake, look up VDI (variable dynamic intake) and Auxillary ports.
