Well at least the Vredestien are at a decent speed rating. These coopers are scary on the few
times I've done just parade laps at RA. Plus the vredestien are street tires unlike the hoosiers or
toyo proxies. Of course they cost about the same from eurotire. Go figure.

Sorry Mark, didn't mean to get you all excited about tires. I know you autox junkies are always
looking for your next tire fix

I've written bfgoodrich and bridgestone with no success. We need to get some serious
attention to the lack of 13 and 14 street performance tires for older Jap cars. Theres a huge
pent up demand out there just judging by threads like these.

I got an answer from MT. They're small enough, and dedicated to enthusiast types. Write, write! Everyone! I specifically mentioned 205 60 13, 185 60 13, 195 60 14, and 205 55 14. Maybe I oughta post at some Brit car sites and mention same. Old Bimmers too.

Qingdao,

I posted about the H/P 4000 on the first page of this thread. I have a few more miles on tires now and my impressions have remained the same. Dry grip is quite good, wet seems to very good as well, though I don't have a lot of wet miles on them. I wouldn't call this a high performance tire, but certainly a sporty tire. With as much sidewall as this tire has, you can feel things squish and compress before everything settles in when cornering -- though some of that is undoubtedly my 30 year old dry-rotted suspension bushings. Once the suspension is loaded, the tires hold well-- I'd say on a stock Rx-7, these tires are not the weak point in the suspension setup. I'm not at all disappointed with the tire, though my use case is as a limited use car for some fun through the twisties on a summer day.

Also, they look great!
