rub issues

will a 16' rim with 50r tire height rub on a first gen?? will it look weird do you think?? tire.com has some pretty good deals on wheel/tire combos, but only does it in 16' for first gens, so 15 inch packages. feedback would be nice. thanks. im choosing between enkei rs5 with nitto 450's or the konig passports with the same tires. thanks
mike

Depends on the particular Rim and offset, but many guys have 16's on with no problems. Off the top of my head, Manntis has 16's on 50 series rubber.

Ive seen a turbo first gen here in miami with 18's, so you should be safe.

With 16's you might wanna go with 45's. But like Direckfreak said, it depends on the size. a 215 or 205 - /45/16 would work.

they are 205's

16x7 wheels with 205-45-16 tires would probably work. They will be less than 1/4" taller than 205-50-15 tires, which dont rub for most people, including myself. The key will be getting the correct offset wheels.
