RPMs drop when clutch depressed

cant recall seeing this post b4 , but when i push in the clutch at a full stop going into first gear, the rpms drop, sometimes pretty low as to go dead, but not yet,,,,it doesnt do it all the time but was just wondering about the dropping and what might be causing it to do so.....i got into the habit of goosing the engine b4 i go into first gear to compensate the drop , i hate going dead,,,,,

Throwout Bearing (Release bering) is going dead.

Went dead in my Honda at about the same time as the clutch.

I drove 2k miles, highway and city with a dead clutch and a locked throwout.

Bearing was blue and crispidy when I took it out. The seals were broken apart and some of the balls were missing, the rest were not round at all. The pressure plate had eighth of an inch rivet grooves in it. Luckily the lining hadn't worn through as far on the flywheel side and a light sanding got rid of any marks.

Could also be the pilot bearing.
