Rotorfest 2005 + FB Camptrip!!!

Well...it's been announced...we will be having another Rotorfest :D

So plans to do another camptrip are underway...

The campsite this time will be in Jenny Jump state forest. It looks like it'll be the same deal as last years...

- camping with tents is available
- shower and bathroom facilities are available
- its only 10 minutes from the Rotorfest 2005 meet

Those interested please chime in here with your questions and whether or not you would attend from Friday until Sunday or Saturday until Sunday.

I will have more information as the date gets closer...in the meantime check out the pix from last years by clicking the pic below...we had a GREAT time! :bigthumb:

PoLaK 02-03-05 01:48 PM

Any Rivers next to the grounds to do some fishing or cannoeing in, or some trails to hike?

From last year (with some modifications)

Equipment List (I can bring)
2 person tent
Coleman 2 burner cookstove
Coleman fuel
Lantern
Cooking Utensil kit (spatula, turning fork, serving spoons, etc)
Several stacked pots and pans (less undies, I promise)
Coffee pot
Coffee
Condiments and staples bag- Salt, pepper, sugar, hotsauce, herbs (the culinary variety), matches, handsoap, dish soap, towels, wash and rinse bins, scrub pads, paper towels, toilet paper, first aid kit, pack of cards- stuff like that.
Camp saw, camp axe and DRY FIREWOOD
Tarp(s), rope, bungee cords, repair kit, etc..
Spare grate if not (for cooking)

I know this equipment sounds like a lot- but I keep the majority of this stuff in a box ready to go at a moments notice, so it's no big deal.

Personal List
2 person tent (buddy up with someone)
Sleeping bag
Sleeping pad
Pillow (if you're a wuss)
Camp chairs
Cot (if you're really a wuss)
Toiletries and towel (if you want to be a clean wuss)
Clothes (include jeans and a lightweight jacket if the evening is cool. Also- keep your underwear out of any cooking gear. Trust me on this.)
Flashlight
Car care bag
Camera & film
Eating utensils and personal plate
Ukulele, harmonica, guitar or piano- your choice

That's about it. I think.

bizarro 02-03-05 02:05 PM

here's a list of what's available from the website...

Facilities & Activities:

Astronomy Observatory Site
Trails
Camping
Fishing, Boating and Canoeing
Hunting
Picnicking, playground
Vistas of the Delaware Water Gap and Great Meadows

Trails:

Hiking
Mountain Biking
Nature trails

I'm not sure how much of it we'll be able to do since it is only a 2 night camp trip...but who knows...lets just make sure someone brings a football this time...;)

I'm in, hopefully for 2 days. As some of you can attest, I need approval from the woman. I can tell you car will be in perfect shape, with new goodies. Hopefully a new suspension! God damn weather!

John

Gotta get permission?? I already TOLD my wife I'm gone that weekend! :)

My car will be the same as last year. No time as of yet to get that Sterling carb running right or replace my blues with Illumina's....

LMAO No problem, there. I just noticed from the pics that there were no widebodies, yet an FC slipped into the mix somehow. Musta needed a pivot man. I guess if that's all you got... :bigthumb:

Where is this park, anyway ? Do they sell grits there ? See, I ain't from around there, you know ?

Sterling 02-03-05 06:18 PM

Bring some grits up with you from GA.
I LOVE grits!

Yes widebodies are welcome, the more cars we get the better. I'm praying my project car will finally be done by then and I can drive that. Oh and if they have mountain biking I might stuff my bike in the back of the car too. Make it a Fri-Sun thing, I might not be there the whole time, but most of it. Oh and my house is like 20 mins from there, so if anyone needs to make repairs etc, I've got plenty of tools and space in which to make them. Oh and is anyone gonna bring their wives/girlfriends? I'm not sure I wanna subject mine to you guys ;)

Imagination 02-03-05 08:45 PM

Misthael 02-04-05 07:22 AM

Damn you guys. Why you have to be so far away? If there's anybody in the Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas area that wants to go tell me, cause I won't go alone, but I'd love to go. Can we crash the wedding Hector?
