The chrome on this rotor housing is wearing is this spot

Is there anything i can do other than buy a new one?

Yeah there's something you can do. You can reuse it if necessary. With new apex seals and springs, it'll still work. It just won't have quite as much HP as a new one. It came out of a running engine, did it not? Reuse it if you can't afford around $300US+ each.

I bought new rotor housings when I rebuilt my engine, they cost 300 each, Ithink they are worth it if you plan on keeping the car like myself.

The reason why I gave him that bit of advice above is because I've got a set of old housings that look very similar to his, that I plan to use. The engine was a core motor I picked up for $100. The oil pump had a broken rotor in it (I'll take a pic tomorrow if I remember) which I think caused low oil pressure. My guess is it sucked up some garbage from the pan. Basically, the whole engine is questionable, but rebuildable because the bearings and side plates don't look that bad. Why not make a bridgeport out of it? None of the parts would be appropriate to use in anything but a go-for-broke setup anyway. I've got another 17.5mm oil pump to use, and an adjustable '71-'80 rear reg that'll get bumped up to 90PSI. Everything will be thoroughly cleaned and inspected before reassembly. If it throws an apex seal, I'm out the cost of a set of seals and gaskets. I consider it time well spent as this is my first BP. They fail pretty quickly anyway (the water seals leak or the bridge itself cracks).
