rogan 12-01-03 08:30 PM

beavis and butthead with an rx-7.

matthewpims 12-01-03 09:00 PM

HOLY SHIT BALLZ!!

and they say rotaries are unreliable... right... you try holdin a stock boinger motor at 9 grand for 7 minutes at 30 seconds freewheeling and see what happens.... sad to see tho almost made me sick

MosesX605 12-01-03 09:12 PM

Why the hell did they do that?

What a fucking waste.

Hades12 12-01-03 09:23 PM

they said it was only half a good engine so it was not really a waste.

Is the tach accurate if only half of the engine is running?

MosesX605 12-01-03 09:59 PM

The engine could have been rebuildable before they fucked it up. Now it's just scrap metal. THAT's a waste.

hornbm 12-01-03 10:21 PM

Oh come on man, you know you allways wanted to do that. I wish I had enough 7's lying around to pull that shit off. I'm bouts to go show that to all the anti-rotary guys I know.

Swolbynos 12-01-03 10:31 PM

how big is the file cause it says unknown time left and size, just want to know how close i am to being done

coldy13 12-01-03 10:51 PM

26.4meg

Dom 12-01-03 11:41 PM

Man, to have been there in its final moments,... sob, sob.

Just takes your breath away, don't it?

Cody 12-01-03 11:47 PM

There goes about 8 minutes of my life I will never have back.

It really is Beavis and Butthead in human form, STARING AT THE DAMN TACH for 99% of the video.

"Its on fire, its on fire.....get the hose"

I wish the engine would have GRENADED with the idiot camera man standing inches from the engine bay.

quantum18 12-02-03 12:11 AM

I'm sorry but that was incredible. Sure it may have been a waste of an engine and it may have been destructive, but I sure got a kick out of seeing that engine put up a fight like that 2,000 rpms over redline. I guess we don't need anyone else to do one of those videos, now we all know what happens. Alright next let's see how many miles someone can get out of a rotary with the oil drained from it! I've heard Its a long time.

faye x7 12-02-03 12:25 AM

Yeah, I bet you all secretly wanted to know what would happen to these poor rotaries if we redlined it for several minutes!

hotty 12-02-03 12:50 AM

lol.. get the hose, get the hose.. lol... wow.. I'm very impressed at how long it went.. and it would be cool if they pulled the engine apart to see which part failed first. Some Diagnostics like this would be cool. but my gawd that went for a long time!

inittab 12-02-03 09:06 AM

"HEY DUDE IT'S ON FIRE!!!!" LOL :rlaugh:

JAMES-RX-007 12-02-03 09:38 AM

left coast juvenile crackheads. Try that in Cincinnati and see what they do to you. Get off this forum. No respect for anything.

Barwick 12-02-03 10:04 AM

Oh shut up all you idiots whining about "oh no respect for the car... wa wa wa"...

Man you sound like a bunch of children.

I don't think it would have blown if the radiator cap was there.

Mschafe 12-02-03 11:08 AM

SAD :( But it was still cool to see... (and will haunt my dreams forever and ever).

Cody 12-02-03 12:07 PM

(looks at SA in driveway with evil thoughts)

CheddaKing 12-02-03 12:23 PM

Makes you wonder how long it would have lasted if he would have put the cap on...
