Ring & Pinion
Anybody know of other vehicles that I can pull a 4.444 or 4.875 out of the diff? I feel like raping some junkyards. :)
Oh, and it is an 85 gs...don't think that matters. |
if there is, I will beat ya to it. :rlaugh:

Nooooo!!!!!!!!
|
sorry but a little off topic how hard are these gears to install anyways? Wouldnt a higher gear that allows for more torque chew up the rear end with minimal abuse? Sorry to jack a small amount but back on topic I thought some toyota 4x4 trucks had a front diffy with a 4.444 gear ratio that was interchangable.

I am about to remove the gears out of a drag rear end I have... I dont remember the gearing, but the guy I bought it off of said its some "special drag gearing". I want to say they are 4.88's but not sure at all. how can I tell??
I have no use for them once there out, so I guess ill let them go for a fair price. |
count the # of teeth in the ring, then divide it by the # of pinion teeth.
|
Jeez, come on people...tell me!!!!

There is another web site that list all the diffs that will interchange. Try a search for Kia and Miata diffs.
|
87-88 b2600 4x4 FRONT differential has the 4.44
2000+ kia sportage FRONT differential has 4.78 both in the necessary 7" ring gear size somebody confirm |
Confirmed according to the web site. However the Kia is ont an LSD. The Miata sports a 4:33 and IS LSD.
