Pice of wood and a hammer. Its pressed in.

racing beat makes a nice piece of wood specifically for this job. it's a 60.00 piece tho, a normal 2x4 will do

:D :D :D :D

I got a used engine recently and the filler tube was already loose. I used a punch tool and a hammer to make a couple indentions, then used the hammer/2x4 technique.. Not sure how to get one of those out. Maybe stand on the engine, grab it with both hands and pull? lol Watch out!

For installation, what do you guys use to secure the filler neck.

Might be easier to paint it in car. It is pressed in, like the coolant nipple on the side, I believe. I would say.. torch, maybe?

yank on it and show of your strength for some ladies.!!!

mines super rusty inside and im worried its falling down the tube into the motor so i want a new one

you might want to look into the source/cause of the rust first.

It not venting properly. Install a fitting on the oil cap.
On the stock set up, any moisture comes out due to vacuum created by the engine. The nipple is about 1" below the oil cap. Without vacuum, the moisture has to build up on the cap then it comes out on the nipple. The idea behind the fitting is to allow the moisture to come out immediately. Most of the racers have done this and also have added a catch tank (soda bottle) like the pix below

when the car was bone stock 2 years ago with nothing ever being touched on the car before it was like that...when i did the rats nest removel i cant remeber what i did... i think i took a tube off of it and T'ed it with a hose running to one of the nipples on the carb which i thought was what you were supposed to do...

hey wacky.......the hole on the side of the tube already just plug it and get a cap with a nipple on it and run it to a catch can??

where are some places i could get a new one?? on ebay a few months ago i saw a billet tube and then im sure any cap could work......

uncap is fine except you will notice a slight drip when filling up the oil.
