remove airpump/keep thermal reactor??

I tried doing a search but could'nt get a def. answer.

I'm going to remove the airpump this weekend so I have more room to change the OMP. Now can I just leave the airpump off since the thermal reactor is not a catalytic converter? I don't see the need for it with a thermal reactor. I'm not worried about emissions, and I have a electric fan, so I'm not worried about the belt problem for the waterpump.
Any feedback??
Thanks

You gotta keep the airpump if you're leaving the thermal reactor on. The AP provides cooling for the thermal reactor, not having it would cause some pretty intense heat. I think there's the possibility of the internal walls collapsing, which would be worse than any clogged cat. Time to get some headers, then dump the AP.
