Rear Main Seal replacement
OK, since I have the tranny out to replace the clutch, I got the flywheel turned, I'm gonna replace the pilot bearing, and I might as well replace the rear main seal, Right?? It shows signs of leaking and the car has sat up for many years.
How is it done? Do I remove the six 12mm hex head bolts and pull that out or do I try and pry out the old seal with a screwdriver or pic? I did a search in the archives and nothing popped up. |
You just pry the old one out with a screwdriver and insert the new one. That's all there is to it. :-)
