Rear hatch light...

My rear hatch light went out... So I got a bulb outa my parts car... No light...
I tested the bulb with my voltimeter and it was fine. Then I tested to see if power was going to the switch, and I found that no power goes to the switch. I get weird readings--turned off it sometimes reads 0.1 volts or so and turned on it reads around 0.03 volts. What's my problem?

I thought my bulb was bad, ended up being the wire was not grounded good, may check for corrosion on the ground wire that leads to the light bulb,,, also the wire that opens my hatch from the dash button was very loose too,,,, ,good luck....

hmmm... the connectors to the back of the light fixture seem just fine... do i need to take off the whole back thing that also houses the latch for the rear hatch?

I have noticed that the connectors that are attached to the bulb get loose were the y go through the plastic and connect to the wires in the back, the other problem could be the connecter on the drivers side that plugs into the unit. If you need a pic I can get one later.
