Rear end noise

So I was out driving my 85 GSL today and noticed a slight noise that seems to be coming from the rearend. At first I thought it was some static coming from the speakers, but turned the radio completely off and it continued. Very consistent sound that goes away when I stop. Doesn't seem to change at all when I touch the brake or give it a little gas, and everything seems to be performing without a problem. I changed the rear diff oil yesterday and didn't see any metal shavings at all and put in the LSD additive and new 80w90 oil. I've only had the car for a couple of weeks now and haven't driven it hardly at all because I've been working on it in the garage, so I don't know if it has been making this noise previously or not... Is this anything I should be concerned with? The noise is very slight and just enough to make me paranoid.

Describing the noise itself will give a better idea of what it might be.

Oh yeah... Sorry... Sounds kind of like a brake pad lightly dragging against a rotor, but it isnt because hitting the brake pedal doesnt affect the noise.

Rear wheel bearings?

Sort of a light grinding? If the lube change didn't remove the noise then it's most likely wheel bearings but check the brakes thoroughly first.

Keep in mind that you can get electrical noise through the speakers, even if the radio is turned off. You will have to unplug the rear speakers at the speaker to completely eliminate that as a suspect. :)
