OK, I still don't get the deal with the thick black wires coming from the hood.

Overall, after reviewing these pics, I am in shock!

They look like really fast snowplows.

Those 'wires' from underneath the hood/coming out through the body kits are actually oil cooler lines (mounted outside the car on the big ass lips. Look closely, you'll see it. [That's what I think, that is.])

Either that, or they're extra radiators to help cool the engine block since those cars gained soooo much horsepower from the octuple exhaust and wings!

Looks like you would break the intake slamming the hood down.
