Hmmm....I actually have that combo and I wish I had more spring pressure, actually...the car DOESN'T bounce up and down, but it does still bottom out on some rough dips around town. Doing one particular curve I love going to work, the road is split between asphalt and concrete, has dips and undulations and is generally a real challenge to run quickly because of all that chaos. When I had the stock springs and shocks, all worn out and 20 years old, it was simply scary to run it. The car bottomed and the back end would try to jump out from the shock. With the KYB shocks, the car wouldn't bottom out as quickly (which is actually killing the shocks, but I didn't keep that combo around long...) and it wouldn't try to jump out from the dippies in the curve as much...when the RB springs went on, it was a completely different situation. Now, I can hit that curve with much serious speed and I've yet to get to the limit for that curve...the bottom out and jump characteristic is completely gone in back. The best analogy I can think of is that it's like skiing and you're body is "still" while your legs are up and down taking the waves' (or moguls in snow) impacts so your head and eyes can still work like they're supposed to. The difference was that pronounced.
They are a good, cheap alternative until you save up enough money for the really good stuff. And, even then, you have to ask WHY are you saving for the really good stuff. If you're not AutoX'ing or road-racing your rex, then there's no real need for the good stuff...:cool:
