Racing Beat Holley intake installation
 

I was wondering if anyone has switched out the stock intake system in favor of the Racing Beat Holley system. And if so how difficult was it and what should be expected. I'm planning on doing this because my carb is shot and my poor car has been sitting for two weeks now. I've been stuck driving my 81 Caddy Hearse, great for shock value but at 13 mpg and slower than sheesh I miss my Mazda.

If you have a choice go with dual side draft carbs. :D

I've got a racing beat intake and holley for my street port 12a. I like it quite a bit. You will have to buy a high pressure fuel pump as well. Also, you will really need a fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure gauge.

The install is pretty simple. If you get the full kit from racing beat, it comes with cable brackets and mounting hardware. I got mine used and it did not have these items. This made the install somewhat more difficult.

Notice the struts were removed :D Just got my springs installed!

P.S. Ya, I know. The carb. is on 180 degrees out! DOH. Runs well tho.

I must be dumping into the secondary intake runners with the primaries on the carb.!!

does anyone here have a dual side draft setup? i would not mind seeing some pictures, and your opinion on them? worth it? no?

The thing with dual carbs is that it's a pain in the ass keeping them in sync. Not worth the trouble in my opinion.

right now i am just thinking about all options for when i redo my intake.. dual, singal, turbo, etc....

I'd like to thank everyone who responded. I think I'll do it, seems easy enough and should be worth it.

YEAH, I had a friend that had dual Weber's and he was constantly adjusting them :( Adjust them via RB's inexpensive uni sync device? Yeah right! :)
