racing beat headers?

if i get the RB headers, and the cat replacement pipe, those will connect to my stock muffler correct?

wwilliam54 01-29-04 07:12 PM

mindtrain is the only one that really does IIRC

erick1120 01-29-04 07:38 PM

I am pretty sure that it will. When I installed my RB system I replaced the muffler too, but it still retains the stock connecting pipe that goes from the cat replacement pipe to the muffler. So I am pretty sure that you will still be able to use the stock muffler.

BIG J MIXALOT 01-29-04 07:49 PM

where do you get the headers

twigg 01-29-04 08:37 PM

im getting them from RB

82transam 01-29-04 08:52 PM

yes it will work, the header presilencer or header miller cat combination is made to work with the stock connecting pipe and thus stock muffler (or a RB muffler which attaches identical to the stock one.)

twigg 01-29-04 09:11 PM

so i need rb headers > presilcener > cat replace pipe > stock muff

purple82 01-29-04 09:32 PM

The presilencer runs into the stock connecting pipe and then into the muffler.

Header>Presilencer>stock connecting pipe>muffler

I don't think racing beat even sells a replacement for the stock connecting pipe.

This is what you need, as i have on my car.
Streetable Header> Presilencer>stock connecting pipe>muffler.
The header and presil will hook up to your connecting pipe, whcih is welded to your mufler. Its a bolt on installation, it took me 45 minutes with a full lift.

assuming you don't have to drill out the thousand bolts you might possibly break in the process (not literally) :crzyeye:

Racing Beat does sell a replacement connecting pipe if needed. The part number is listed in all of their systems for the correct connecting pipe I beleive.
