Quick starter bypass Q

I'm gonna install a starter cutoff switch in the near future, to go along with my fuel cut off. I was wondering where and which wire I should cut into to do so. Some pic would be nice if not a detailed description of the area.

TIA
Nector

Bump. I plan on doing this tomorrow so any input would be apriciated(sp)

If you just want to make sure that they can't start the car, cut the small wire that plugs in to the starter (rather than a large wire that bolts onto the starter). It is this wire that sends the "start" signal to the starter.

I plan on doing somthing like that. Any idea on where this wire is located in the interior?

That line is in the dash somewhere. I would do the mod just inside the engine bay.

Plumb more wire into that small starter wire under the hood and run it back through the firewall to a hidden switch.

It'll be easy to get to if you have a problem with it later.

if you have a manual, i would reccomend against this...

bump starting the car would be just as easy as the starter, if not easier (doh! i flooded it!)

try an ignition (spark) disable... it wont go ANYWHERE without spark. find the fise which powers the ignition system (should be easy.. pull fuses till it stalls), then go to the back of the fise panel, trace out the wire and interrupt it with a switch.

Take the fuseable link out when you leave the car..............no easier way than that.
