quick radiator question..
 

I just got an aftermarket radiator and noticed that it has two things sticking out the bottom of it for hoses to be attached to that my other one did not have. So do i have the wrong radiator or are these for the A/T oil and if so do I jsut cap them off?

Yea it's for an A/T tranny. It might be a good idea to cap them off to prevent corrosion from happening inside.

awe fuck... I knew I shoulda replaced the temp sensor the thing snapped off halfway in the new radiator... Anyone know how I would get the god damned thing out so I can put a new one in??

natew, did the temp. sensor on the top of the radiator break or was it the draincock on the side at the radiator bottom? I have broken off an old (18 yr.) plastic threaded draincock inside the radiator and was going to use an extractor bit (reverse threaded bit that pulls the plug out as one drills inward) but I started to put slight pressure in the broken plastic piece and it easily turned with a regular drill bit without penetrating it. It will run into the back inside of the radiator and stop so there was no danger to me of pushing the broken draincock into the radiator to never be gotten out again.

If the top temp. sensor is broken it will come off with a crescent wrench. I am not sure how that part would get broken. It has a metal sensor inside. My wire connection did break off and I had to listen to a buzzer for a week while the dealer ordered the part. I ran the radio loud then. Hope this helps but bive me some more details confirming which part broke and a detailed description of how stuck the part is and where.

Its the temp sensor/light thinggy.. Hell I could probably just say screw it but dunno if that is tied into anything other than the idiot light... It is the one on the bottom left of the radiator (looking at it from the fan's point of view.) I got some ezouts and am going to give that a try, the I wasn't applying much force when it broke so it is just a matter of getting leverage on the damn thing to turn it..

the sensor on the top radiator cover is only for coolant level. if its unplugged or wire broken off, you will see the annoying red indicator light in the dash.
