Question about interior

1 Attachment(s)
I am about to purchase this 1985 GSL it has seat covers and underneath it has leathers couldn't tell what color due to the rips in them. I'm trying to upload a picture so you guys can see the interior and tell me the correct seats or and color . Thanks a million

rxtasy3 01-17-18 11:13 PM

going by the dash, door panels, and carpet, the color looks to be brown.

Ok so brown leather seats the GSL model came with leather seats ? I just don't want to be called out for having some other type of seats

Yes, the GSL and GSL-SE could be had with brown or maroon leather seating. The cloth options were available in brown, maroon, and grey. You might get lucky and the seats might be in good shape. Some people cover them to protect them.

Looking at the drivers seat in the left, the cover is pulled back and it looks to be brown leather. The drivers side will probably be in pretty questionable shape but the passenger side may be nice.

Will look forward to the pics. My favorite FB interior has always been brown with brown leather. Love it!

so far brown leather (L4) is the rarest, followed by red leather, brown cloth, red cloth, and the most popular color (about half the cars) are grey cloth.

for what its worth, i agree, the brown leather with the right exterior would look really nice

Clearly the right exterior color is Brown ;). Is the L4 interior what I have here? This is an 83 GSL, stock mostly (RB springs/Tokico Blues/Direct Fire)

that would be tan, the brown, particularly the 84-85 brown is much darker

I always liked the gray cloth. Alas, I have maroon leather >.<

Rear seats won't fit anyone, even kids, unless the people in front are about 5' tall.

I've got the maroon/burgundy leather on my car. It's poor quality and hard as a rock now, despite being a low mile car that spent its life in a garage. I'm in the process of fitting some Corbeau seats so I can preserve the originals. I want to drive the car and I just feel like the seats are going to crumble if I put any significant mileage on them.

https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...1b2b5367a9.jpgSo the interior is brown
Leather seats they need to be redone
Needs cluster
And the window buttons not sure if motor needs to be replaced on them
Looking for factory radio or to put a nice one that fits. Needs TLC

https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...de7109cd95.jpgSo they changed the color to this blue
But I looked at the color tag and it's V9
Custom metallic silver
But that will probably run me a goo chunk of money to get it all respected

if u decide to go aftermarket, double din fits fine. single like i have will require something like this:
https://www.google.com/search?q=soub...nt=firefox-b-1, or something of ur own creation.
