Question about gsl and gslse brake calipers

I have a 79 with brakes and suspension from an 84 gsl. I`m about to purchase a set of gslse suspension and brakes that I want to install, and had a question about the front calipers. I searched, and in the posts that compare the two models, they say that the spindles are the same, and that the rest is different (rotor, pads, caliper, and mounting bracket).

I also looked on rockauto website, and when I look at the part numbers and pictures of the calipers for the two different models, it seems that the caliper is the exact same, and it`s just the mounting braket that goes onto the caliper that`s different. Can someone tell me if the calipers are really the same on the two models. Because I want to do the swap, but would like to reuse my gsl calipers if I can, since I just bought new ones.

My last question is about the driveshaft. The gslse rear end I`m buying doesn`t come with the driveshaft. Will my gsl driveshaft work with the se rear?

Thanks,
sa7

if the rear end you have in it now is from an 84 than yes your driveshaft will work.
