Proper spherical joint rear control arms
 

Here is a sneak peek into the ReSpeed first generation suspension kit.

These are billet aluminum adaptors for spherical joint rear control arms. They are designed with SCCA improved touring in mind so they will replace the factory rubber bushing with the solid feel and location aspects of aftermarket rod end arms without modification of the factory arm.

We also have complete replacement arms in the works for the guys that do not have to adhere to the "rules" within the SCCA IT class.

Prototypes have been made for testing of front control arm spherical bushings and a new design for our solid stay rod bushings.

On the horizon is camber plates for second generations, adjustable sway bar connectors, adjustable spring perches front and rear and a watts linkage replacement setup.

Our goal is to have all aspects of the suspension handled before the end of the year with full kits that have optional parts that meet a number of different rules and solutions.

What are we looking at for the price?

a spherical bushing for the center of the wats link would be awesome. There used to be a company that made one, but I don't remeber who it was.

Good looking parts Billy. But I dont get how it all fits and works. Yes Im a dumbass sometimes. And can you comment on how they can/are isolated from road dirt, and lube intervals, method?

Are there watts linkage or control arms? I have the spherical watts linkage from mazdaspeed. They do work nicely but the best feature is there adjustable. The actual rods are aluminum and the spherical ends are SS. I lubed mine with anti seize and it has held up well. Every time I adjust mine the anti seize is in place and they adjust easily. Granted my car is weekend only summertime use. But have had them for about 4 yrs and no troubles yet. Just a idea the adjustable lenght control arms are sweet items possibly consider making a affordable set? I made my own as I refused to pay nearly 400.00 for a set from RB that had crappy rubber bushings and non greasable ball joints. Always great to find new goodies for first gem's keep em coming.

You guys make awesome looking parts, but I've got one question:

When are you going to make more of those rotor-design air filter covers? I REALLY want one! They were on the old ReSpeed site but not the new one.

Thanks for the offer. We currently test on a IT7 car here in the southeast, Rush Marshall. www.russmarshall.com. We also plan to have a few cars of our own for next year.

The part houses the spherical joint within the center bore and is retained by a "c clip". The housing itself is retained in the arm by "c clip" and/or bearing Locktite. We have not isolated the dirt and grime in the part design itself. The use of "Rod End Condoms" would be how I would do it. They are becoming more popular with more street guys converting to rod ends on suspension links.

Everybody loved them. Only a hand full purchased them. The raw material we used was "scrap" from another job. This allowed the low price. We ran into a situation where The balance of the raw material at the middle to bottom of the stack was scratched up so I would not use it. We are currently working on other solutions to keep the quality up and the price down.

finally someone serious about making parts the 1st gens, can't wait to get the brake kit and if this stuff is out before years end, I think I know what I want for Christmas.

I would buy a set of the adj length control arms if they used greasable ball joints and have poly bushings or better yet spherical bearing tie rod ends. If you produce a version please let me know,thank you

I have heim jointed lower inks in my car and they make such a difference. Only thing is that they are loud. The rear end is much more solid. you hear every bump. but the bind issue seems to be much better!! it handles noticeably better than the stock lower links.
