today i drained the fluids, sprayed a can of wd-40 in the plug holes while a friend manually cranked the engine (did this to protect parts from rusting/siezing until i can tear it apart) and removed the rubber side molding from the doors/fenders.

Nice. Mine's pretty close to the same thing. Excpet mine came with stock steel wheels and hubcaps. I'm selling my louvers and I have the old school dial clock LOL. I put a different shift knob though

rotornoob 01-11-06 12:44 PM

my roommate gave me the skull shift knob and instantly i removed the stock one. it was too tall and felt kinda wierd. this one is more fitted for my hand....and the eyes light up lol

hey want to know a cool fact about WD-40...scientists were trying to make a water-displacement solution and it was the fortieth try that they were successful...WD-40...but I don't know if I'd use WD-40...I'd probably use fluid film...more expensive but hey...shes my baby

rotornoob 01-12-06 02:11 AM

thats an interesting bit of info....never could figure out what the WD stood for lol

only reason i used wd-40 was that it is cheap. i don't have much money right now. matter of fact all i have at the moment is $5 for gas so i can go to work.

Are you going to come to the norcal7 meet this Sunday

rotornoob 01-12-06 02:36 AM

im trying, but i don't have a ride yet. my 7 needs an engine rebuild so i can't drive it...the damn thing wont even turn over... :wallbash:

im talking to livetodrive15 and hoping that he or anthony can give me a ride. will look at my schedule tomorrow to find out if i can actually pull this one off or not....i forgot to do it tonight :wallbash: :wallbash:

Rx Seven 01-12-06 02:48 AM

you should try and make it I think if the weather plays along it should be a nice turn out. Well good luck making it there.

rotornoob 01-12-06 02:55 AM

i definately WANT to go...amongst other things i would like to check out some 7's and talk to the owners...i need ideas for my body mods :)

plus by meeting others in the area, if i need help with something i could (maybe) call or at least meet with them to discuss progress....who knows...

you gonna be there?

Rx Seven 01-12-06 03:00 AM

Yep but my 7 will be at home I bought a new clutch but havent had it installed. I am looking for a light weight flywheel so I can put them in at the same time. I will be there in a Mazda Tribute with a couple sets of wheels and other parts for sale.

I have a set of 14" Weds wheels that I will be selling and some other random 1st gen parts but the majority are 2nd gen parts.

rotornoob 01-12-06 03:07 AM

maybe i will see you there...i hope :dunno:
