Problem with 4-Way Flashers

The 4-way flashers haven't worked ever since I've had my RX-7, and this presents a problem for me while doing ricer fly-bys.

I replaced the switch tonight but this didn't remedy the problem. I've noticed that with the 4-way switch on (but the lights not flashing), the turn signal stalk doesn't work... if that helps.

Is this a common problem with the FBs? Can any one give me some direction on what to repair or inspect next?

Thanks!

Holy s^%$ I just crapped my pants LMFAO!

You might want to try cleaning the switch assembly. Seems like a lot of guys have had luck getting their high beams working again by spraying electrical contact cleaner in the switch assembly, might work for the hazard switch too. As long as the turn signals work correctly with the 4 way switch off then I think your flasher/cpu is probably ok.

I tried two different switches, and I doubt both are bad. It has to be something further down the wiring. I'll check out a wiring diagram and see whats up.
