Presilencer brand matter?

Ok, i have an 85 gsl se stock exhaust. Soon to be getting a racing beat power pulse muffler. And about to gut my cats. I know it is going to be loud as hell, correct? So i really have no choice other than to get a presilencer correct? Or if i am wrong, please tell me and save me some money. Ok now for the other Q
I was wondering if the brand of the presilcencer matters like the brand of the muffler, because of the all steel and heat. My uncles brother has a muffler shop and i can get them for whole sale, well some brands i cant get a racingbeat so thats why i want to know if it matters. If i dont go racingbeat, is that ok? what brand do you, the people, suggest?? Thanks for any help.

I suggest racing beat, i would say there is nothing that will last longer and sound better on the market.

Try it with just the power pulse. That does most of the muffling. If you need to get a presilencer, avoid fiberglass packing! It needs to be stainless steal or ceramic packing.

you might have some problems finding a way for everything to fit under there with the cats. i just got a rb header back system and the headers and presilencer took up most of the room underneath the car. you wouldn't have headers in the way but would probably have to modify some of the stock pipes to make it fit. i would just spend the extra money and get the whole racing beat system. i would say it is well worth the money.

^ that was not me. does anyone know what the deal with having someone elses name logged in instead of yours. this is the second time it has happened to me

I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but it looks like each time anyone logs in as someone else, the post count is always quite low. It's as if it only happens to users with less than 10 posts.
