Premix question

I'm planning on blocking off my OMP and using premix.. but has anyone thought of a possibility of 2-stroke oil clogging the fuel filter faster than normal?

use Idemitsu :) but no, i've never seen an issue of what you speak of. use good shit and you'll be fine

I read about this stuff on the Mazdatrix site: http://www.mazdatrix.com/q-supply.htm

Is this considered to be the best pre-mix? I've heard some good comments about Amsoil, too. The normal ratio I've heard from the forums is 1 oz / gallon, but Idemitsu recommends half that much!?

I think they are talking about using 1/2 oz/gallon in addition to using the stock metering pump. That's my take on it anyway.

I have been using Pennziol Synthetic 2 stroke oil at a ratio of 1oz for every gallon and have had NO issues. The filter has never clogged and the fuel flows fine with NO issues. The fuel actually just looks a little different in color but other than that every thing is as it was before pre-mixing so you should be fine. I get my oil at Walmart, buy a gallon at a time and just maintain 1 quart in the car with me at all times so whenever I need gas it's available.

the idemitsu is what i have used for about a year now, 1 oz per gallon and no smoke, or clogging going on. its basically clear so you fuel color is not distorted. i reccomend it over anything. its great stuff.
