porting? my 1st streetport
 

First off please excuse the crappy pictures my 300.00 digital camera took a crap on me and im taking pics with my cell phone. This is the start i just did it with a dremel the two bits i use where a fiberglass cutting disk and a orange grinding stone. Only took about 20 minutes. I know it still needs some work but it looks like a good start to me. But what do i know:)

My question is. How smooth should i make the surface inside the port, i think i should keep if a little rough and not polish it or is that just for the intake on a carburated engine?

my dad gave me his dremel the other day and if i clean out his garage he is gunna help me port it but first iam gunna wait till i have learned to drive it

as you said, they are a good start. from what i can see, they look pretty good, but you do have some work left.

Not bad. Be sure to "raise the roof" which means to blend the original port shape with the new, later closing shape. Don't raise it too high—feel inside to get an idea of how much iron is left.

Hey, I used cutting discs and orange stones on mine. I can rough-cut a port in about 5 minutes. The rest is time consuming. At least with a dremel, if you slip, it cuts so slowly that the damage is usually always minimal.
