plug up an engine?

Alright. I've got a few spare engines in the garage and i'd like to clean them up b4 i even think of using them. Of course, i'm lazy and feel pressure washing them would be the fastest and most through method of taking off the gunk. However, since it's already off the car, what can i use to plug the holes for the ports, etc. which is water tight, especially with pressure washing. Also, i'll take the assumpsion i shouldn't use high psi acound the back end seal....anyplace else i should take it easy?

You could try going down to the hardware store of your choice and look for some rubber stoppers (like corks, only rubber), and then cram them as tight as you can into all of the orafices you dont want anything in. Just a though...

i am with ya on the duct tape idea. I have a ceased 12a and I covered all the holes with duct tape and it worked fine for the whole process of mmo and all, but she was stuck to hard in the end. Going to rebuild it and my dad is building himself a '79.
