Picture Request 15'' Wheels
Anybody here running 15'' wheels? Im worried itll be too big for my taste and with a 1'' drop itll have almost no play w/o hitting/rubbing the fenders. I dont like lo-pro tires, trying to keep them at least 50. Im really wanting some Diamond Racing Pro Series 15x8's but like I said, affraid itll be too big. So anybody have a picture or 15's on their car?

ok, a ton of people run 15x7 fine but they do have low pro tires...i am running 14x6 superlites and i think mine were 50 or 55 profile, and i have room to go a little bigger if i want.(i bough huge tires at first but they were pretty heavy and kinda whimpy lookin with big tires)..i think mine are the perfectsize (totally my opnion tho), not too wide but much wider for good stance and traction and 14 inch really keeps that old school look, id post pics but im at work, i can post some later...my car is lowered too, and i never have any probs rubbing or hitting
im pretty sure circle/diamond racing wheels arent streetlegal.(15x8 will most. def. stick out of the fender)....but they are cool tho |
I have 15X9s on the back or the wide body and they would not fit with lowering springs, had less than an inch of clearance between the tire and fender lip. 15X7s in the front caught both fender lips and bent them out. I may have gotten by with rolling the front fenders lips, 15X7s should fit in the back with no problems. With stock spring height, the tire and wheel combo worked, not when it it was lowered though. Tires are 225 and 245/50/25.

bah... ok, i have a gs, so its 4x110 pattern. im looking for a preferably13''- 14'', but ill go up to 15'' wheel for street and autox. i would just keep stock wheels but they are only 5'' wide and will only take a 205 tire... which i guess is ok but i was also wanting something to look a bit better not that the stockers arent nice. id also LOVE panasports but the only ones i can find in 4x110 pattern are 13x5 so no better than stock. GRR!
so what would you guys recommend for a stock profile (as far as it not sticking out too far) but a wider wheel in 14'', maybe 15''. also the stock wheel has almost no good choice of tires |

205/50/15 rear and 195/50/15 front, here, too. No rub in the front with the 195's. I should add that I did go with new Eibach springs to stiffen up; especially for the front as the 15" rims added quite abit of "leverage" over the old 13" stockers.

More recent: http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-6/738485/pj6dj.jpg I recently lowered it 3 inches from that photo, it sits about the same as the first pic now, but the suspension *works* now :) |

I run 15x8.5 225/50/15 on the rear and 15x7 205/50/15 on the front.
Eibach 400lb springs on Coilovers and 200lb Eibach's with 2 coils cut on the rear. Epsilons/Enkie's/WED's 15"wheels, got alot of them for drift events. Cut the rear wheel well for lowering and the 225's and rolled the front fenders. |

This is what 15X9 Epsilons look like with 245/5015s and Eibachs on a stock body. Fronts have very little room with the 7" rims.

Here is a picture of my 15" ARE rims (that are for sale also).
Tires have been removed and centercaps were broke during shipping to me. $400 for the rims. B'ham is not too far as I hang with the B'ham rotary group sometimes. I will be heading to Huntsville soon to see Shannon. These rims fit good on my GSL-SE that has Eibach springs and tokico shocks with a 205/50/15 tire. I am selling only because I now have panasport rims. |

ehhh... maybe ill just go with what i know works and looks well. some panasport 13x5.5's... classic look and ok price. should let me at least get some 215's on there

215 on 5.5 seems a bit much. i could be wrong. i thought 205 was nearing the limit on stock width wheels.

I want to order some Panasports in the near future and want the Panasports with a nice lip and NOT the flat lip style. Any input would be great. L8R |

My 84 GSL has 15x6.5 inch BBS alloys from a 1990 convertible, with 225/50 rears and 205/50 fronts. Plenty of room at stock height.

1983 GS with Ronal 15 x 7 (+15 offset) wheels, 205/50-15 all around. Front fenders are mildly rolled, no other clearance issues. Tokico springs have it sitting rather low.
Not too shabby for a car I paid $500 for, complete with tires/wheels and new paint. |
