Plus they stop your paint from getting scorched like Trochoid said.

Amazing how you got the dash there

btw, you dont happen to have the side moldings you remove right?

Sammy_B 12-15-06 10:36 AM

Wow! Pretty nice work there on the car mate! If anyone can get parts easy from Aus i highly reccomend rotaflow exhausts, made just for rotarys :)

hey cheers for the comments-to answer some questions -the paint altough it has grown on me was a chosen by the previous owner-the hole on the door by the window is actually the handle the locks will be on remote-the wheels are avanti 16" (205's i think of top of my head are just temporary wheels i want to get some wheels with dot slicks for racing -as for the 6x9 boxes they were from my last car a worked eb civic and just put them in as they are removeable (as pretty as it is ,it is still a race car and wieght matters haha-and old skool rotarys look heaps better with the dumpy and the rps one's are able to handle the rotarys heat-and for u u.s guys the exchange rates in ur favour isnt it lol

jotary20b 12-15-06 01:42 PM

and as for interior not being mint, i said the car was nearly done haha-my mate hasnt got to finishing the haltech wiring

dbragg 12-15-06 01:48 PM

are you sure the RPS can withstand the rotary heat? that one mentioned above, rotaflow, is right at $400 USD. can you get a soundclip or movie of your exhaust?

jotary20b 12-15-06 02:04 PM

this is when i got the car in a very sad state not motor, interior, wheels that matched-missing parts everywhere-no glass-looking back really wondor why i bought it!

as for the top mount im going to change for evo6 one good flow ,fit well and i can get them cheep but for moment top mount with an old bonnet and scoop

Naegleria_Fowleri 12-15-06 02:07 PM

Wow. Now that is progress. That is absolutely astounding the depth from which you brought that car back from. You did an amazing job on that.

jotary20b 12-15-06 02:10 PM

haha cud get a sound clip but considering the haltech isnt wiried up will be pretty quiet-and yeah the guy how did my exhaust is a rotary fiend owning 2 r100's a rx3 coupe, sedan and wagon aswell as 3 battys-and works building exhausts, so may have little bit of idea about rotary exhausts

jotary20b 12-15-06 02:14 PM

thanks dude-as u can see it was a bit crap-but i didnt feel to bad modifying it ,instead of destroying a mint origanal-

yeah go the dumpy tips ,they look heaps better

bliffle 12-15-06 08:03 PM

That's a nice car and a great restoration job. And I usually prefer the stock look! But I think you've got a nice aesthetic there, and it's appropriate for a race car.

Wow, the Before and After pictures are outstanding! I love seeing a neglected car turned into a work of art. Nicely done there! :icon_tup: And, I love that dumpy tip. Now I want one! *L* Plus, it sounds fun calling it a "dumpy" :rlaugh:

kgray 12-16-06 11:36 AM
