any dyi or cheaper option for replacing outer window door seals? Best I can find is $25 per side.
This is the seal that squeegees the outside glass when you roll the window down. SC

Those are normally MAZDA OEM items, not sure how you DIY but I suppose someone makes something that can be used to do this. I don't think Steele Rubber or anyone else makes these for our cars yet.

Looks like Amazon has them , two for about $30.

awesome!

If you order them let us know how they fit. I've ordered some from Black Dragon when they were still in business and they fit well but were too short on each side. I ordered a replacement set and they were short again. I just lived with it but have used Mazda seals ever since.

I've bought mine on Rockauto.... but I have not fitted them yet, so I cannot tell you about fitment. They look like good quality.

Has anyone tried these? Seems like no one on Amazon knows if they are individual or come as a set.

Use the original OEM seals while they are still available.

Yes they are expensive, but they fit better than any of the aftermarket alternatives. I've tried sets that look fine but then bind up power windows to the point where they are unusable.

Pay for genuine OEM, look after the seals and they'll last longer than you will likely own the car.

^Agreed, I try to buy OEM whenever possible (sadly, availability is getting less and less). The aftermarket ones I've tried never fit right...

Sorry to bring this back up, but does anyone have the oem part numbers for these?

Thanks for the info, I'll look into them. How was the whole transaction and shipping timeframe?

It was great. Alexis Tretheway is a great guy to deal with and the parts he sell they are top notch with a perfect fit.

It too about a week and a half to get the studs after it shipped....I was living in Texas at the time.....

Frogman 02-15-23 01:58 AM

Atkins rotary sells them ...

yeti 02-15-23 08:13 AM

They do and I have installed them. I'm not sure what was on the car before but these replacements do seem to fit better. While I haven't yet tested them, they seem to keep rain out better than before. I don't recall the price off the top of my head but whatever it was I was happy to pay.
