out with the old, in with the new.

Did a search but maybe im looking for the wrong subjects. Checked the FAQ page and they didnt have it.

Was just wondering what parts from a 3rd gen fit in a 1st gen-
Power steering, rotors and brakes, sway bars. just not engine related.

i mean fit by least amount of fabrication, modification what nots.
Thanks, Ian

Almost nothing........J-spec steering wheel, with no airbag is all I can think of....I have an Infini FD wheel on my 84.

3rd gens are so rare anyways, trying to pick parts from them is damn near impossible.Lots of people and companies have taken up adapting 2nd gen parts to the 1st gen because the FC is so very common in wrecking yards, and they at least have some common-ish parts with the 1st gen.

In a nutshell........the 2nd gen shares very little in common with the 1st gen,and the 3rd gen shares nearly nothing in common with the 2nd gen......so finding any "easy" swappable parts, crossing three very different generation cars......is unlikely.

you can also get the seats and make them work with a bit of fabrication.

Ya the thing didn't even fit properly though, it was out way too much and I don't think it lined up with the firewall properly. It looked more like a hack job
