Looks like you've removed the rat's nest and added a snake's nest.

The Oscillator is that black box sitting on top of the headlight cover in the lower picture, it can be unplugged without consequence but be sure to keep a close eye on all your fluid levels, I think it serves as a fail safe protection against low coolant and/or oil levels.

The relays include the ACV valve relay, hot start relay, No.1 and No. 2 AC relays, AC cut out relays, choke and check relay and main relays.

I'd leave then alone if you use those systems.

jesus that looks like a mess. Hah

Boy you might be legally retarded... Just kidding. Honestly, i'd re run the wiring. That is a disaster.

Lol...its not as bad as it looks, I think I'll keep the oscillator and ac relays the others can go by by. Il just need to dig into the wireing diagram to find out which is which.

I got my information from the FSM, I don't normally devote that many brain cells to memorizing the different relay locations and functions (except the oscillator, you need to know where that is in case your car starts screeching and you need to unplug it).

The 84/85 FSM has excellent wiring diagrams and figures showing what all those boxes are about.

And hey, I said it looks like "a snake's nest", not "a mess" or "disaster". It looks like you've got a pretty creative project going there.

I just hope you can get it started after!

thanks Ray for pointing me in the right diriction. i will be running all new wires for the fuel injected setup, im just getting rid of all the wires that don't go to any thing anymore first.
