Okay, so in this picture we see my sterling carb. Beautiful, isn't it? It was made with low range power and torque in mind. Sterling, every time I have a beer I drop a little on the ground for you.... and Onlyonthurs.

Next we have my Racing Beat filter and canister. Its obviously a focal point of my engine bay. What's that silver thing in the background?

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...7/IMG_0423.jpg

Why its my Ebay Special! RX-7 rotor oil cap. $10 and it was on my doorstep.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...7/IMG_0424.jpg

When we take a look inside we see my RE-Amemiya shift knob and homemade bandanna shift boot! Its JDM-riffic!

I seriously love my FB

aussiesmg 04-20-06 03:34 PM

Beep777 04-20-06 03:57 PM

Don't worry...the 7 doesn't get your wife either.

inuissus_cendi 04-20-06 05:10 PM

you're not regulating the fuel pressure down??? The Sterling should be getting 2-2.5 psi. What are you using for a fuel pump?

z-beater 04-20-06 05:13 PM

looking good.

Right now I only have the stock pump. I'm going to be investing in a Carter and a FPR and Gauge very shortly.

If you can, also look and see if you can see an alternator on there. It "runs", but only when everything is on there.

Not everything is on there :)

I don't think RE-Amemiya makes it anymore. Back when Tom was selling parts he found in a Japanese junkyard I got it from him for $80 shipped to my house from Japan. I suspect it was made in early 90s for the FD.

It matches the interior perfectly. Gray for the radio surround, black for the interior, and orange/yellow lettering to match the gauges.

I just got lucky.

I'll be getting a gray and black Personal steering wheel and a Corbeau Legacy gray and black seat soon. I will consider my interior perfectly finished then.

+1 for the custom knob that wasn't $80 and pwns yours

Tranquil 04-20-06 08:46 PM

I don't like round knobs

and pwnage is subjective.

(shipping from japan is a bitch)

Yellow '79 04-20-06 09:17 PM

nice shift boot! haha

You need black and gray door panels. Then you can be like me. ;)

Tranquil 04-20-06 09:26 PM

Hmm, I did think about it, but I enjoy having subtle gray accents here and there to make them look almost stock.

And don't rag on the shift boot! I really dig my bandanna! Its going to be my new "trademark" Every car I have from now on will have a bandanna boot. Hell I should market them.

Tranquil 04-21-06 12:45 PM

More pictures!

Interior - Immaculate stock, Classic NES Fuzzy Dice (the 80s kicked ass)

The wheels, after a brief cleaning, but they still need polishing and a minor sandblast

nice interior

where's some overall pictures of your car?

how can you not like a spherical shift knob? It's so comfortable. cylinders= rice. :D

peejay 04-21-06 10:17 PM

Damn you and your pre-S3 interior :)

Don't forget your camera on Sunday! Need pix not just of my car but the other cool cars, like Eric's 190...

Tranquil 04-21-06 10:19 PM

Well I just don't, I guess its weird. Its the position of the shifter, really. With the "pistol grip" type you can just thwap it with your wrist on the FB.

Spherical shift knobs are more comfortable for me when on trucks and floor mounted shifters, or dashboard mounted rally shifters. Like in the Civic Si.

Its all about position!

Here's the current pic. I'll have more tomorrow after I black out my lenses and taillights.

Well one of the reasons I agreed to paying $1000 for a NON-running FB was the fact the interior was S2 black and the exterior was silver. I seriously drempt of this car as a child. It is my dream car.

I took measurements and the Corbeau Legacy seat is a PERFECT match. The seat will be complemented with a Kirkey rollbar behind it and I'll have Scroth DOT approved harnesses. All for the driver. The passenger seat is in brilliant condition, and surprisingly my driver's seat is in better condition than the passenger. So if the passenger seat goes I'll bolt my driver's to the passenger sliders.

And this is the steering wheel I'm going to get as well.
https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...d=170201&stc=1

My car is an entire work in progress. But hopefully she'll aid me in getting laid my senior year. I haven't had any since July, lol.... damn dryspell.

blwfly 04-21-06 10:47 PM

very nice does the seat slide forward and back?
how bigs the stearing wheel 12"?

it takes mojo to get laid not the car :)

Tranquil 04-21-06 11:18 PM

Oh I know that, I have plenty of mojo. But those are stories for the lounge.

Transportation to work the mojo, well that's just something that I have to work on. I can't say "hey, I'll walk over and then we can walk to the movies" now can I?

The wheel is 13inches by the way, or 12 1/2. 12 1/2 is the absolute smallest I can do so that it doesn't cover the gauges. I was blessed just being only 5'10. And yes, the seat does have sliders to slide front and back. I *hate* side mount seats.

blwfly 04-22-06 02:39 PM

how much for the wheel and what boss kit are you using?

damn stearing wheel is allways in the way of gettin out
