Ok this has exaust on my car has been bugging me
Ok when I look at EVERY other 1st Gen, AND search for Exausts for the first gens, I noticed one thing. THEY ALL AT THE END HAVE A DUEL PIPE. Knowing that, Im wondering, maybe its just me, but my exaust at the end is one pipe. Supposivly its a custom cat back exaust for that car. When I turn it on the exaust(and yes I stood out of my car and got near it to listen) makes clanking metal sounds and shit. Even my wife agrees that it doesnt sound right. Now Im thinking of gettin a totally knew exaust system for it, and I gone through Black Dragon.com, Mazdatrix, and racing beat. Im not asking which is the best buuy. Im asking is my assumption of the Exaust I have on now right or am I just paranoid?

Could be a loose hanger or the exhuast itself knocking against something... if it's custom that's most likly. Otherwise could be the baffles in the muffler came loose.
Most (all?) direct fit kits follow the daul setup Mazda used from factory. |
yes most do, all the kits that we had at the shop were dual.
and im guessing its just a hanger or a piece of the muffler shooting around in there. as long as its not coming from the engine your fine. :D As for me, im going dual, tipped but with dual 3 inch chrome silencers on the end just because its going to be tight and fucking quiet. |
Yea Im gonna go duel as well, it just looks normal for the 1st gen ya know?

cant beat racingbeat, but like someone said, check hangers and stuff first. only complaint i have with my rb system is the tips, they look odd and the chrome has worn off and it has black spots all over it. looks bad
