Oil pump question
Will a TII oil pump fit on a PRE '86 engine? I forgot if anyone has done this. I know some people use the GSL-SE pump on 12a's, but I don't know about if TII ones are compatable with the 1st generation.

Yes they should fit just fine.

higher rpm. Seems to drop to 60psi at sustained rpm above 7500rpm(top speed run), I have a 85psi regulator. On a bridgeport so you know. And, I can get a oil pump from a TII for free if I want and I don't have access to a GSL-SE oil pump which would probably be up to the job.
Ofcourse we all know the stock gauge is not completely accurate, but I'd still like to know I have a pump capable to make the volume to keep the pressure high at high rpm were its most important. 10psi for every 1000rpm is a universal standard. |
Does anyone else using a 85psi regulator have any gauge issues were the pressure is a little low at times occanually?

Rob @ Pineapple told me you should have 10psi of oil per 1000 rpms. You really should upgrade to the 115psi race regulator, 17.5mm oil pump, -10 braided lines and 3 window main bearings.
My 74 repu puts out 71psi at cold idle and at warm idle 30-40. -bp- |
